The purpose of the Language Prize is to strengthen the use of the Danish language and to promote and recognise the deliberate use of the language in public and private organisations by identifying role models for linguistic quality and creativity.

The Language Prize focuses on the written language in both the private sector and the public sector by recognising and rewarding the good Danish language. We would like to praise the companies, organizations, authorities and institutions that work with the language on a daily basis. Our hope is that their laudable lyrics can inspire others.

Language Day 2026, like last year, will be held at the language festival SPROGENSE, which runs from 1 to 2 May 2026.

Language prizes are awarded to commendable texts and the writers behind them. It will be a weekend filled with exciting activities that all have the celebration of the many facets of language as a focal point.

On Friday, May 1, the Language Awards of the Year will be presented and you will hear inspirational speeches.
